Type 1 MUGA – Multi-Use Games Area

The Playquip Type 1 MUGA provides a strong, practical and cost-effective solution for creating a dedicated multi-sports area within a playground, school or public open space.

Manufactured from durable steel and designed for intensive outdoor use, the Type 1 system combines high-level ball retention fencing with integrated goal ends and basketball hoops, allowing a range of sports and games to take place within one compact area.

The open-bar construction provides excellent visibility into and out of the games area whilst helping to contain balls and separate active play from surrounding spaces. The system can be configured to suit the available space, with different layouts and sizes available depending on the requirements of the site.

Our Type 1 MUGA can also be powder coated in a wide range of colours, allowing it to complement existing play equipment, school colours or the wider landscape.

As a full turnkey playground contractor, Playquip can design, manufacture, supply and install the complete MUGA, including associated groundworks and surfacing where required.
