When it comes to play equipment, many are now opting to refurbish and repair rather than replace with new, but an element of caution needs to be applied here. It is important that this form of work is only undertaken by suitably qualified and suitably insured companies.

 

Reduce the need to replace your expensive pieces of play equipment by ensuring you have a robust ongoing maintenance program.

Reuse existing equipment again, where possible. As long as regular maintenance has been carried out, as detailed above, most play equipment can be refurbished to extend life expectancy. For instance, rusted or faded metal paintwork can be treated and refinished to offer both visual and structural enhancement and rotted timber elements can be replaced, where necessary. Recycle, where environmentally viable, any piece of equipment that cannot be refurbished or reused. As licensed waste carriers we have a legal responsibility to ensure that everything that can be recycled is recycled, and, as a company, we take that responsibility very seriously.
